Rio Linda Library Centennial Celebration

The Rio Linda Library celebrated it’s 100th birthday on Tuesday, September 27th 2016 and invited us all over for dinner.

Librarian Sally McGrath arranged a party with music, a quiche throw-down competition which I was lucky enough to judge, with some history, and a lot of handshaking. District 4 Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan was in attendance and gave an official proclamation. The Quilt Trail project gave a presentation on the library’s quilt square, and some of the local farmers provided fresh produce with the meal.

Congratulations to our quiche throw-down winners, Charlea Moore, Russell McCurdy and Deb Crowe.

It was a great event. I hope many of you made it out!
