2013 Annual Rio Linda Little League Parade

Rio Linda Little League parade

Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and mosquitoes are sucking. Once again, Rio Linda and Elverta’s spring rite of passage for boys  is upon us; The Annual Rio Linda Little League Parade and Opening Day.

This year’s parade takes place on Saturday, April 6th (Always the first Saturday in April. I didn’t know that until just recently!)

At 8:30am, the parade starts at Westside Park and turns right down M Street to Oak Lane, ending at the Rio Linda library around 10:30. Once the parade ends, players are heading to Babe Best Park for pictures.

Opening ceremonies are to be held at noon.

The Little League is hosting a vendor fair at Babe Best Park (10th and U) and are looking for vendors. Booths are just $25. For more information, contact Christina Geer at 916-548-2535 or email at christinageer@yahoo.com.

Good luck to all the players and coaches!
