30 Days until the 2017 Rio Linda Hometown Christmas Light Parade

Last year over 2000 people from all over the area came out to see Rio Linda and Elverta kick off the holidays with a bang. It was a smash hit. An instant success. We had fire trucks, and marching bands and marching horses and marching dogs and tons of fun!

This year, we’ve already gotten commitments from the Rio Linda High School Marching Band, The Citrus Heights Community Marching Band, County Supervisor Sue Frost and at least twenty other entries.

But we need your help to make it happen!

If you participated last year, and intend to participate this year, please head over to http://rlechristmasparade.riolindaonline.com/parade-entry/ and let us know you’ll be joining us!

In addition to the slightly extended parade route, this year we will have a twenty foot tall community Christmas Tree which we will be lighting after the parade. Our local small businesses are preparing specials like hot cocoa and candy canes to offer during the parade. We’re also working on some local tv/radio celebrity judges, and Sacramento’s Christmas Station, Mix96 will be joining us.

For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Tabitha Worth at 916-910-4900, or John Todd at 916-289-6436 or send email to RLECHRISTMASPARADE1@GMAIL.COM.

Entry forms can also be picked up at many local Rio Linda businesses, and returned to the Community Center or A-1 Storage. Shoot, call me and I’ll deliver one to you and wait while you fill it out!
