In a 49-20 beating of the Del Campo Cougars, Marcel Brown rushed for 294 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries and QB Stephen Andrews passed for 148 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for a touchdown.

Vaughn Hingano had 11 tackles as the Knights wrapped up the Capital Valley Conference championship.

Knights finish the season 9-1, overall,  5-0 in league play. Playoffs start next week at home. Brackets will be announced today (11/9/13) after the Saturday afternoon games, around 4-5 pm.

  • Coach Mike Morris was mentioned as Division 2 Coach of the Year by Joe Davidson and Mike Finnerty on the SureWest Sports RADIO Show. FB Leo Skattebo and RB Marcel Brown were mentioned as Player of the Year candidates.
  • QB Stephen Andrews was mentioned as the team’s “X-Factor” driving the Knights run deep into the playoffs.
