Rio Linda Criminals Run Amok!

The past couple of weeks in Rio Linda have been absolutely insane.

Rio Linda Crime is out of control.

It’s been a quiet week here at Lake Woebegone…

Screw that. The past couple of weeks in Rio Linda have been absolutely insane. Shootings, robberies, assaults, oh my! Let’s take a look at them one-by-one.

On September 4th, the Subway at Rio Linda Plaza was robbed at gunpoint.

On Labor Day, September 5th, a disabled child was led to an open field near Dry Creek and beaten while other teens  gathered to watch and film on their phones.

The disabled child is my son, Christopher.

Chris is autistic and developmentally disabled. He has the mental capacity of a 6 to 8 year old.

The Sheriff has sat on their hands for a week now, even though we’ve given them the name of the assailant and eye-witnesses. In fact, we know one witness who allegedly has video on his phone, know his name, who he is, where he lives… yet the Sheriff still has yet to contact us.

I was so frustrated with the Sheriff’s lack of interest that I created a Facebook group called ‘Justice for Christopher‘ to tell the story and put some pressure on the SSD. Within 4 hours we had over 800 followers. 2 hours later, Tony Lopez and his cameraman from CBS13 were in our living room interviewing Chris and I. The story aired on the 10pm news.

The next day we had over 2000 followers on Facebook. Right now the group is at 2395 followers. We STILL have not been contacted by the SSD.

At the Oak Tree Diner, 4 security cameras have been stolen in the past 3 weeks.

The morning of September 7th, some loser swiped the entire cash register from Jimmy’s doughnuts  on M street.

Then, the pinnacle of stupidity, that very same morning a man on Elkhorn Blvd. was robbed of his marijuana plants. When he tried to stop the robbers he was shot in the arm. The thieves left a trail of ganja all over Elkhorn and the whole fracas gathered the attention of most of the local news outlets.

It’s getting bad. Where does it end? What’s the answer?

Erwin Hayer has asked the SSD to give us an update on these crimes at the Community Watch Meeting, scheduled for Thursday the 15th, 5:30 pm at the RLE Community Center.

We need more eyes and ears in our community to be able to reduce the crime and support Law Enforcement Agencies. Please pass this information to all your Family, Friends and Neighbors.

We’re going to be there with Christopher. I hope you can find the time to make it there as well.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
