The Rio Linda High School Varsity Knights unstoppable running back Cameron Skattebo has been named as the 2018 Foothill Valley League MVP.
The Junior back ended the regular season as the Sac-Joaquin Sections top rusher with 2,152 yards and 25 rushing touchdowns. If the Knights go deep in the playoffs, he could end the year over 3,000 yards.
Rio Linda QB Tyson Ybarra was named to the first team, as well as offensive linemen Nico Salaices and Eddie Rabuku. Defensive lineman Jack Clark, linebackers Abraham Banks and Ben Pau were also honored, along with DB Johnny Serrano. Of the seven Rio Linda players honored, five of them are underclassmen and will return next year.

The Knights were idle this week, but will face Pacheco of Los Banos on Friday, November 9th at home in the quarterfinals of the Division IV playoffs. Game time is 7pm.
Pacheco narrowly escaped Sierra in the first round on Friday night, 34-33.
