Tonight the #16 Rio Linda Knights (0-1) will face the #20 Casa Roble Rams (1-0) at Casa Roble High School in Orangevale. Game time is 7pm.
This is a rematch of the Sac-Joaquin Section playoff from last year, where Rio Linda bulldozed over Casa Roble, 63-14 and held them scoreless in the second half to claim the Division IV crown.
The Knights are coming off a tough loss to Center, where they dropped the home opener 48-40.
This will be Casa Roble’s home opener. The Rams put Bella Vista away last week 55-15.
Casa Roble Quarterback Marciano Huston was 11 for 16, with 220 yards and 6 touchdowns. Backs Dylan Overstreet and Austin Gandy put up 216 yards with one touchdown. Huston spread the ball around, but his favorite target is Dylan Overstreet who had 3 receptions for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In the SacBee rankings, Rio Linda fell from #6 to #16, while Casa Roble climbed one spot to #19.
