Sacramento Public Libraries will remain closed in alignment with government guidelines.

All library locations will remain closed through April 10 in alignment with the governor’s shelter-in-place order.

Material due dates, hold pick-up dates, and library card expiration dates have been extended. Please check your library account to view your new date. During this closure, we have temporarily disabled new holds in our catalog. However, you can still place holds on ebooks and audiobooks in OverDrive.

Although all in-person services will continue to be suspended, our virtual library doors never close. We encourage you to continue using our digital services and check out the new Bonus Borrows from Hoopla. If you don’t have a card yet, simply apply here.

We will continue serving our community beyond the library walls. During this time, while you are all at home, we are here to keep you connected. In the coming days, we will be launching new virtual programming, including book clubs, live book recommendations, storytime and more. Join us on Facebook today from 2 – 4 p.m. for live book recommendations.

Stay connected with us on Facebook and Twitter or see our website.
