In a message sent out via Twitter this morning, Twin Rivers Unified School District is announcing that they will be making some bus route changes due to a driver shortage.

TRUSD states that the changes will “only impact a small percentage of students” and that families will be notified directly if their student is impacted.

Via Twitter:

“Twin Rivers Unified, along with school districts across the country, are currently facing a school bus driver shortage. Coupled with current #COVID19-related quarantines, TR Transportation operations is experiencing long wait times and late pick-ups and arrivals.”

“Due to this shortage, we must reduce some of our current routes. This will only impact a small percentage of students and families will be notified directly if their student will be impacted. Those students will receive bus passes through Sac RT for public transit.”

“We are currently looking to hire more bus drivers to fill these routes and training is provided to those hired for the job. If you or someone you know is interested in working at TRUSD as a bus driver, you can find the job posting here: http://twinriversusd.org
