On Thursday, a few hundred Rio Linda and Elverta folks got together at Depot Park to have supper at the Rio Linda Farmers’ Market and Peddler’s Fair. The Squeeze Inn food truck was in town bringing the nationally famous cheese skirted hamburger to our community. The Squeeze with Cheese was so popular, they were gone within two hours. Completely sold out.
In addition to the good food, We had four produce vendors selling tomatoes, squash, strawberries, green beans, onions, corn and many other locally grown goodies. There were a bunch of vendors selling jams and jellies and candles and soaps and baby bibs… too much to even mention here. We had music from D.J. Stipe and our hometown hero, MMA champ Dave Huckaba stopped by to take pictures with the kids.
It was a great day, and it happens every Thursday night from 5:30 to 8:00pm.
