Rio Linda, CA – The Rio Linda Knights are gearing up for a high-stakes week of competition, highlighted by the Varsity Football team’s first round of the CIF playoffs and the Cross Country team’s run for a section title.

The Playoff Push

The gridiron Knights are heading into the postseason with momentum.

  • Football (Playoffs Round 1): The Varsity squad hits the road for a critical Friday, November 14th match-up against Hilmar High School at 7:00 PM. It’s win-or-go-home for the Knights as they look to advance in the playoffs.

Home Pitch Action and the TRUSD Cup

Don’t miss the action on the home pitch, and be sure to support the wrestlers as they battle for the TRUSD Cup.

  • Girls’ Soccer: The ladies are hosting a home match on Friday, November 14th against Oakmont High. The JV team kicks off at 5:00 PM, followed by the Varsity team at 7:00 PM.
  • Wrestling: The Knights’ grapplers will be away on Saturday, November 15th, competing for the coveted TRUSD Cup at Highlands High School. Matches run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Section Showdown on the Trails

One Knight is set to represent the school at the highest level of competition.

  • Cross Country: Star runner Julian Carrillo will be competing for a Section title on Saturday, November 15th. Carrillo heads to Folsom’s Willow Hill course, with the event scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.
