RIO LINDA – As we roll into the final week of January, the playoff push is officially on for our winter sports teams. It’s a jam-packed schedule for Rio Linda High School athletics, highlighted by a massive Monday night in the gym and some crucial league battles on the pitch.
The emotional centerpiece of the week comes early, as the Boys Basketball program celebrates Senior Night this Monday against Dixon. It’s the last time our graduating seniors will suit up for a league game in front of the home crowd, so let’s pack the stands and send them off with a “W.”
Later in the week, the Knights renew hostilities with the Casa Roble Rams on the soccer field and basketball court, while the wrestling squad heads to Lincoln for the Section Duals.
