Double the Fun: Two Easter Events Coming to Rio Linda in March

Spring is in the air, and Rio Linda is gearing up for not one, but two community celebrations to mark the season. From a morning at the park to a full-day carnival, local families have plenty of reasons to get outside and hunt for some eggs.


Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District Annual Eggstravaganza Hunt

The festivities kick off early in the month with the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District hosting its annual Free Community Easter Egg Hunt. This wholesome morning event is designed for the whole family to celebrate the joys of spring together.

  • When: Saturday, March 14
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Location: Babe Best Park
  • Cost: Free admission

New Beginnings Fellowship Fundraiser & Carnival

Later in the month, the fun continues with a massive fundraiser event at New Beginnings Fellowship. This event is a full-day carnival where all proceeds will go directly to support youth programs.

  • When: Saturday, March 28
  • Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Location: 7008 10th Street, Rio Linda

Activities & Egg Hunts

Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including a jump house, face painting, park play, and chalk drawing, all with no admission fee. The highlight of the day will be the three free egg hunts scheduled for:

  • 1:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM
  • 5:00 PM

Food & Games

For those wanting to enjoy the carnival attractions, tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase:

  • Tickets (3 for $1): Good for any game, bumper cars, and the cake walk.
  • $5 Wristbands: Includes one snowcone and access to all tabletop games.
  • $10 Wristbands: Includes one hotdog, one drink, two cake walk rounds, and access to all tabletop games, large games, and bumper cars.

A variety of classic treats will also be available, including hotdogs and cotton candy for $2, and popcorn, snowcones, and drinks for $1.
