It’s time to put Rio Linda on the map! The Capital Region Small Business Awards are back, and they are looking for the entrepreneurs and small businesses that keep our local economy humming and our community spirit strong.
Specifically, Sacramento County is looking for its next Changemaker in Business. This award is designed to spotlight outstanding businesses located right here in the unincorporated county—including Rio Linda and Elverta—that show real leadership through growth, innovation, and local impact.
Do you know a local shop, service, or innovator that deserves the spotlight? Now is the chance to make sure our corner of the county gets the recognition it deserves.
Key Details
- Nomination Deadline: Now through April 3, 2026.
- Who Can Be Nominated? Any business that operates out of a physical commercial location in unincorporated Sacramento County (that’s us!) and is in good standing with local laws.
What Makes a “Changemaker”?
The judges are looking for businesses that check at least one of these boxes:
- Growth & Stability: They are expanding or providing steady, reliable service to the area.
- Innovation: They are doing things differently or bringing new ideas to the table.
- Community Impact: They go above and beyond to give back to the neighborhood.
How to Nominate
