Radio Free Rio Linda #1: Incorporation Q&A Meeting

On January 26th, a few community members and activists came together at Papa’s Pizzeria to discuss the subject of cityhood, or incorporation, for Rio Linda and Elverta. This meeting was facilitated by Charlea Moore, who was part of the most recent effort in 2006.

Many questions were asked and answered, many misconceptions were dispelled, and the positives and negatives weighed.

Thanks to Trina Drotar who has supplied a very high quality audio recording of the meeting, which I’ve uploaded here for your information.

It runs about 45 minutes long, but there’s a wealth of information in there.

This posting also marks the beginning of Radio Free Rio Linda, a podcast focussing on information that’s important to the communities of Rio Linda and Elverta. We will present meeting audio, panel discussions, interviews with local, interesting and influential people. We’re very excited about it. I hope you will be as well.
