CaptureAccording to reports, on Sunday morning, January 3rd, a Lexus which was travelling too fast for the curve crashed into a ditch and caught fire at Rio Linda Blvd. and Marysville Blvd. The accident  left one person dead and another hospitalized.

Chris Harvey with the Sacramento Metro Fire Department said that firefighters were able to pull two men from the burning car, but one of the men died.

The other victim was taken to U.C. Davis Medical Center.

Rio Linda Boulevard north and south of the accident was closed in both directions for two hours, according to the fire department.

News10 mis-reported the location as North Sacramento.
