Lady Knights Win Sac-Joaquin Section D3 Championship

Brandy Huffhines scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the No. 3 seeded Knights toppled the top-seeded Falcons.

It was the first Section title in six championship game appearances for Rio Linda, which lost to Vanden in last year’s D3 championship game.

Three other Rio Linda players scored 10 points: Alexis Zimmerman, Dejanet Porter and Ke Ari (who also had 12 rebounds).

Brianna Juniel scored 19 points to lead Christian Brothers, while teammate AnnaClare Nelson added 10 points.
