Mystery lovers unite! Join our mystery book club with others who love to solve a good who-done-it. The title for our first meeting is Killing Floor by Lee Child. You can request this book from the Library. This program is sponsored by the Friends of Rio Linda Library.

Knit and Crochet Circle @ Rio Linda
October 4, Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Enjoy a bit of conversation and companionship at the Rio Linda Library Crochet and Knitting Circle. All skill levels are welcome. This is not an instructional class, but some assistance will be available. This program is sponsored by the Friends of Rio Linda Library.

Preschool Storytime @ Rio Linda
October 6, Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.

Come join us with local quilter Tony LaPorte. This club is for anyone who wants to get started with quilting, needs advice on patterns or techniques, or who just wants to be with good company! We will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.

You are welcome in Rio Linda Library. At this first gathering, help us plan and implement a Haunted Library, which will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, October 29. Hang out in the Teen Room, meet other LGBTQA teens, and volunteer to help us out with our first haunting. Teen LGBTQA Space will continue every 3rd Tuesday at 5:00. Snacks will be provided. Do you have questions about your Social Security retirement, disability benefits, or Medicare? Friendly Social Security Administration staff will be in the library to help you find answers. They can help you establish an account, file applications at one of the library’s internet computers, and more. Sign up at the front desk for your 20-minute session. You are also welcome to drop in if there are openings.

Haunted Library, Spooky Movie @ Rio Linda

Mwaa-haa-haaa! Teens have haunted the library, and they dare you to take a tour! This haunted room is not for the faint of heart, nor for young children who may get scared. We will have a spooky family friendly movie for all to enjoy. Trick-or-treat will be happening, too. Maybe you will win a prize for your costume! This program is sponsored by the Friends of Rio Linda Library.
The Teen Book Club reads and discusses great young adult books. Teens can check out a copy of the current book at the front desk of the South Natomas Library. Come join us! Newcomers are always welcome!
