Too bad they arent coming downtown rl. We would treat them right. Right?
I’m sure we have chili left over from when “Bill” came to town 🙂
Is RL planning anything??? Hotels need to share their availablitlity, eateries need to promote thier goods. Bicicyle shops are an abvious point of interest. Anything that cyclists and their handlers will need. TV, radio, papers? Some one needs to sell them and link to facebook pages, web sites and Twitter. It could happen instantly if anyone had a notion to do it.
‎”Pleasant Grove road, joining East Levee road from Elverta road, across Elkhorn Blvd., to the closed section of East Levee. After reaching Del Paso road” What. if anything, is out there?
Well, that’s an issue. The reason they chose that as part of the course is because there’s really nothing but a lot of farmland out there, and it’s lightly traveled. In fact, East Levee road is closed to the public south of Elkhorn Blvd.
So… while it’s nice to see them passing through the edge of town, it would be nicer to see them alter course to pass through the more central part of Rio Linda and Elverta. I don’t think an alteration east to Rio Linda Boulevard would be too difficult, but it’s not likely at this point in the planning.
