On April 21st the RLE Chamber was asked to participate in the Grand Re-opening was a McHuge success and there was a great turn-out. This was the first time that Ronald has been in Rio Linda.
The Firehouse Museum/Fire Truck # 2 Restoration Project Dinner on April 28th was a huge success. Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan donated $5,000 towards this project and Fire Director Monk donated $500 . This event was sponsored by RLE Chamber and RLE Recreation and Park District. A big thank you to the Restoration Crew(Bill Fancher, Roger Mitchell, Scott Dmytrow and many other volunteers) the dinner was fabulous and was a lot of fun.

May 9th Chamber regular scheduled meeting will be at 5:30 pm at the Depot 6730 Front Street (Rio Linda). The guest speaker will be Ruby Wilson’s award winner Terrie Hunt. Terrie is a broker and owner of River Ridge Realty and will talk on the following subjects: About to loose your home? Want to buy a home? Not sure where to start?
On May 14th The RLE Chamber will be donating two scholarships to two deserving JROTC student’s.
On May 17th CASA- Formerly known as Community Watch will meet at 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Rio Linda Elverta Community Center 810 Oak Lane.
Following the CASA meeting Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan will host a meeting from 6:30 pm to 7 pm. She will be having these meetings on the odd months like the CASA meetings and she will continue to have her meetings at Cherry Island Golf Course.
May 19th The Honorary Mayor’s Contest ends and there is still time to support your favorite Candidate.
On May 26th, the Chamber Members are invited to have space at Thunder in the Park for free. Again, this an advantage for Chamber Members to promote their business . There is a charge for space for non-members. Information is on the Chamber website at RLEChamber.org . There will be a fundraiser breakfast for the Firehouse/Fire-truck Museum Project and the Restoration Crew will be serving a pancake breakfast for minimal cost. Come out and support this project.
June 2nd The Mayor’s Dinner and the winner of the Honorary Mayor will be announced. Details to follow.
