Local

A Note from the Publisher

To the Readers of Rio Linda Online,

As the publisher and editor of Rio Linda Online, I spend a great deal of time speaking with our neighbors, business owners, and local leaders. My goal is always the same: to keep my finger on the pulse of what’s happening in Rio Linda and Elverta so I can share those stories with you.

For me, local journalism isn’t just about reporting the news; it plays a central role in helping us understand the unique impact of county decisions, the challenges we face as a rural community, and the inspirational moments that make us proud to call this place home.

Recently, we’ve had the chance to share stories that matter—from the sombre realities of changes in local zoning and infrastructure, to uplifting features on our local high school athletes overcoming the odds. We’ve highlighted the resilience of our small business owners and covered the events that define our culture, such as the Farm & Tractor Days and our holiday parades.

All of the reporting from Rio Linda Online is rooted in service to this community. We do this so you can have a deeper understanding and appreciation of our town.

As a community-focused resource, this is all made possible by your support.

We don’t have a massive corporate backing; we rely on readers like you.

Help us continue to tell the stories of Rio Linda and Elverta.
