Collision at 18th and Elkhorn leaves one in Critical Condition

Three individuals have been hospitalized following a crash near Rio Linda on Sunday evening, according to authorities.

Occurring just after 6 p.m. on Elkhorn Boulevard at 18th Street, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District confirmed that crews arrived at the scene to find a three-vehicle accident with one victim requiring extrication.

Of the three patients transported, one suffered critical injuries while the other two sustained moderate injuries. The cause of the crash remains unclear, and the California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation.

This incident serves as a reminder to all motorists to exercise caution, buckle up, and avoid driving while distracted. Details about the crash remain scant, with no further information currently available.
