Dictionaries for Dry Creek students

Third grade students at Dry Creek Elementary School have something special to take home today. All of them received new dictionaries, generously donated by the Rio Linda Masonic Lodge.

The students were thrilled as the boxes of books were distributed.

“They love being able to take the dictionary home,” says teacher Marci Dixon. “Many of them don’t have books at home.”

Even with the advancement of computer technology, basic dictionary skills are encouraged. The skills transfer to the use of other reference books that students will use down the road for research or finding information.

Contact the Twin Rivers Communications Department (916) 566-1628 for more information.
