Bryan Rapozo and BearIt’s a mystery how he did it, but a dog that disappeared near Sacramento, Calif., has been reunited with his owner – after turning up 720 miles away in Tacoma two days later.

Whether the dog was stolen or picked up by a Good Samaritan still isn’t clear – but his family is just overjoyed to have him back.

Bryan Rapozo of Rio Linda drove 13 hours to the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County to be reunited with his best friend – a high-energy Patterdale terrier mix named Bear.

He went missing outside Bryan’s workplace on Tuesday.

“He goes everywhere with me,” Bryan says. “He goes to work with me every day, sleeps in my bed with me. He’s with me 24-7.”

Bear dog TacomaBear vanished outside Sacramento. Somehow, some way, he made it to Tacoma by Thursday – a trip of 720 miles.
