Five People Taken to Hospital in Head-On Collision

A head-on crash involving two cars led to five people being transported to the hospital, with some suffering major injuries, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened on Wednesday evening, March 15th at E St and Rio Linda Blvd. near the Moose Lodge.

CHP said that a few good Samaritans tried to help the victims while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

The “jaws of life” had to be used to extract one of the victims.

Police say there are no fatalities currently, however there were some major injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
