Food 4 Less announces the acquisition of Elkhorn Blvd Rio Linda Food Source Store

Rebranding and grand openings to follow in late September to early October

Stockton, CA (June 24, 2020) – PAQ, Inc. Food 4 Less announces acquisition of Bradshaw Road Sacramento and Elkhorn Blvd Rio Linda Food Source store sites.  Our mission has always been to provide families with affordable groceries and a clean shopping environment without compromising quality.

PAQ, Inc. currently operates fourteen Food 4 Less stores, a price-impact warehouse format, and six Rancho San Miguel Markets, a traditional Hispanic-oriented format.  PAQ, Inc. stores are located throughout the Central Coast, Central Valley, and Northern California regions with over 1,600 employee-owners and a self-distributing warehouse.  PAQ, Inc. became 100% Employee Owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in November of 2019.  All employees of the company, which meet the plan requirements, become employee-owners of the company.

“We are excited to expand our Northern, CA footprint especially during this unprecedented time in history.  This acquisition is the first step in our growth as a new ESOP and we are pleased to offer a warm welcome the employees of these two new stores to our ESOP Family with this acquisition.”

Bill Cote, President and CEO

“All current Food Source employees, at both locations, will be offered positions within our organization.  We would be excited to have them join our team.”

Janice Bloudoff, Vice President of Human Resources

The employee owners at PAQ, Inc. have exemplified teamwork and a steadfast commitment to serve our communities throughout this very challenging period for essential businesses.

“While there is no clear end to current challenges, our team is working hard to integrate the new store sites into our operation.  The transaction is set to close in early August with the rebranding and grand openings to follow in late September to early October.”

Chris Podesto Senior Vice President and General Manager
