Hayer Park Covered in Grafitti – KCRA

The snack bar, trees and signs at Hayer Park (Central Park) were tagged with grafitti on Saturday, before the Bobby Sox opening day.

Unfortunately, Twin Rivers PD doesn’t patrol the parks any longer since they’ve had to break off their contract with the RLE Parks and Rec.

To add insult to injury, the County’s grafitti removal team has been eliminated due to budget woes, so the parents are removing the grafitti themselves.

I only hope that the Sacramento Sheriffs Department took pictures of the tags before removal started. Sometimes, the vandals or gangs can be identified by the mess they leave behind.

  • I’ve got to give the morons that did this credit — they may not have crap for brains but they know how to make a gigantic mess. It’s sad what’s happened at Central Park. In the old days, Rio Lindans knew how to deal with this kind of thing. Now, it’s just another hassle in a bankrupt state. I miss the old days.
