Knights Sports Action: May 5th – May 10th, 2025

Get ready for a packed week supporting our Rio Linda High School Knights! We’ve got athletes competing for Section titles, teams battling it out at home, and the Track & Field league championships on the line. Here’s the schedule from Athletic Director Larry Bibayoff – mark your calendars and come cheer them on!

TODAY: Monday, May 5th

  • Boys Golf: Good luck to Brandon Meadors! He’s representing Rio Linda down in Merced today, competing in the Division 4 Section Championships. Go Brandon!
  • Softball (Home vs. Sutter): Catch a doubleheader at home! This is a make-up game.
    • JV Knights play at 4:30 PM
    • Varsity Knights play under the lights at 6:30 PM

Tuesday, May 6th

  • Softball (Home vs. Dixon): The softball teams are right back at it on their home field!
    • JV Knights play at 4:30 PM
    • Varsity Knights play at 6:30 PM

Wednesday, May 7th

  • Swimming: Let’s hear it for Jordan Martin! She’s swimming the 100 freestyle at the Section Championships in Elk Grove. Go Jordan! (Fingers crossed – if she finishes in the top 16, she’ll advance to the finals on Friday!)

Thursday, May 8th

  • Softball (Home vs. Antelope) – SENIOR NIGHT!: It’s a special night at the softball field! Come out to celebrate our graduating seniors as the Knights take on Antelope.
    • JV Knights play at 4:30 PM
    • Varsity Knights play at 6:30 PM (Senior Night recognition likely around the Varsity game) – Let’s show our seniors some love!

Saturday, May 10th

  • Track and Field (GEL Championships @ Casa Roble): Our Knights Track & Field team competes for league titles at the GEL Championship Meet, hosted by Casa Roble High School.
    • Field events start at 11:30 AM
    • Track events start at 12:00 PM
