Lady Knights Win, Advance to Semifinals

Last night at Rio Linda High School, the Rio Linda Lady Knights defeated the Oakmont Vikings 50-47 in Sac Joaquin section basketball playoff action.
Junior Dejanet Porter lead the Knights with 13 points, while Senior Keari Morrison pulled down 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
The No. 3 Lady Knights face River Valley (24-4) in a semifinal matchup on Tuesday at Galt High School. Game time will be determined today.
No. 7 River Valley shocked No. 2 East Union, 52-49 last night, handing the East Union Lancers their second loss of the season.
 
River Valley and Rio Linda met twice in Tri-County Conference play. The Knights defeated the Falcons 57-45 on Jan. 4, but the Falcons answered back on Jan. 26 with a 50-46 win.
