Mosquito Spraying Scheduled for July 5

Article date: July 5 2019

The Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District plans to treat the Grand Park area of Sacramento County for adult mosquitoes that may carry the potentially fatal West Nile virus.

The spray was originally scheduled for July 4, but concerns about many people being outside for Independence Day celebrations during the evening prompted Vector Control to delay the treatment by one day.

Per Sacramento City Councilmember Angelique Ashby:

“In an effort to partner with our community they have made arrangements to cancel the aerial drop tonight and have rescheduled for tomorrow night (July 5th).

They are unable to send out a notice until tomorrow morning, though their website has been updated.”
