Pedestrian Fatality at Marysville and Elkhorn

California Highway Patrol is reporting that a pedestrian was killed around 5am Monday morning in an accident at Elkhorn and Marysville Boulevards.

CHP Public Information Officer Mike Zerfas said that a female pedestrian (identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s office as 27 year old Theresa Trower) was walking in the road with two other people around 5am when she was struck and killed by a vehicle.

According to KCRA 3, The driver stayed on scene and was cooperative with authorities. CHP officers also questioned the two people who were with the woman. No arrests were made.

Elkhorn Boulevard was closed until 6:30 am while the investigation was conducted.
