Play Ball! The Rio Linda Little League is Ready to Play.

I got an email from the RLLL this afternoon. With the new youth sports guidance from the California Department of Public Health, they are ready to strap up some cleats and play ball!

If you haven’t heard, last Friday the CDPH updated their youth sports guidance. With this update, RLLL should be authorized to play ball as soon as next week. Perhaps most importantly, this new guidance states that once play begins, it will not be shut back down.

Unfortunately, the parade and opening day event are still cancelled for this season.

The league has worked hard with local Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Parks District leaders to implement health and safety protocols which can now be found on the RLLL website by clicking on the link here: RLLL COVID Safety Plan.pdf

Everyone in town is delighted to welcome the players and their families, and maybe most importantly, some normalcy back to the ballfields and our lives.
