Rio Linda/Elverta Chamber of Commerce Announces 2025 Honorary Mayor’s Race

Rio Linda, CA – June 10, 2025 – The Rio Linda/Elverta Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025 Honorary Mayor’s Race, a fun and friendly competition designed to bring our community together while raising valuable funds for local nonprofit organizations.

This unique event offers a fantastic opportunity to support vital community causes. Every dollar raised directly benefits the participating candidates’ chosen nonprofits, making a real impact right here in our own backyard.

Meet the Candidates & Their Causes:

  • Tonia Silva – Representing Higher Ground Bible Quizzers
  • Rocio “Rocco” Gomez – Representing The American Legion
  • Sandie McGouran – Representing Sisters in Christ

How It Works:

The Honorary Mayor’s Race is determined by ticket sales. Each vote is cast by purchasing a $1 ticket. The candidate who sells the most tickets will be named the Honorary Mayor of Rio Linda/Elverta for 2025!

Even better, 75% of each ticket sold goes directly to the nonprofit the candidate represents. This means your support directly helps fund youth programs, veterans’ services, and women’s ministries in our community.

Tickets are available now! You can purchase tickets directly from the candidates or through participating organizations. Encourage your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to get involved and show your support!

Let’s come together to celebrate community spirit and generosity in action.
