The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District (RLERPD) will be suspending and canceling all activities, classes, and facilities following the California Department of Public Health and Governor Newsom’s orders and guidance regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

These suspensions and cancellations will be in effect until at least March 31st .

  • The RLERPD Community Center and Depot Building will be closed to all usage.
  • All RLERPD Adult Sports leagues are postponed.
  • All RLERPD classes and activities are canceled/postponed
  • All rentals of RLERPD facilities are canceled.
  • The RLE Foundation for the Future, RLERPD Board of Directors, Sacramento County CPAC, Dry Creek Parkway, and Chamber of Commerce public meetings will be allowed to continue. Participants shall maintain a social distance of six (6) feet and follow all other coronavirus related sanitation recommendations. As well, the above-mentioned groups should have a teleconference option in place for those who choose not to attend these meetings.

All RLERPD Parks will remain open. RLERPD staff strongly recommends that users maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet and follow all other coronavirus related sanitation recommendations.

Participant Registration for all programs will remain open. We highly recommend registering on-line or by phone. However, if you would like to register in person, please call our main office at 916-991-5929 and we will happily make an appointment with you to schedule an in-person registration.

For information on credits due to cancellations, please contact the Park District at 916-991-5929 or email at info@rleparks.com.

These closures and cancellations are subject to change and/or may be extended based on new and updated information.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this rapidly evolving situation. These closures were discussed at length and in the end, the decisions were made based on the Governor’s March 12th Executive Order, which stated, in part “All residents are to heed any orders and guidance of state and local public health officials, including but not limited to the imposition of social distancing measures, to confront the spread of COVID-19.”
