Project Overview
The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District (the District) is seeking qualified contractors or roofing companies to replace the roofs on the Depot Building and a gazebo located in Depot Park.
Project Details:
- Depot Building: The roof on the Depot Building (located at 6730 Front Street, Rio Linda, CA 95673) shows signs of dry rot and needs replacement. The replacement roof must match the existing design to preserve the building’s historical replica aesthetic.
- Gazebo: The District also requires a new roof for a smaller gazebo in Depot Park. While a similar shingle finish is preferred, the District is open to contractor input on other materials.
- Project Timeline: Ideally, both projects should be completed within the same timeframe.
Selection Process
A review committee will evaluate proposals based on the following criteria:
- Contractor experience
- Quality of similar work on past projects for municipalities or special districts
- Established reputation (references and reviews)
Submission Requirements
Interested contractors must submit a comprehensive proposal by September 27, 2024, at 5:00 PM to the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District (address below). The proposal should include:
- Cover letter with project manager contact information
- Description of your organization and relevant experience
- Detailed project budget
- Three business references
Important Dates
- August 23, 2024: RFP released
- September 27, 2024: Deadline for proposal submissions
- October 1-4, 2024: Consultant interviews and staff recommendation to the Board
- October 16, 2024: Board of Directors vote on contract approval
- October 28, 2024 (negotiable): Project commencement
