Rio Linda Has First Community Christmas Tree

For the first time, perhaps ever, our community has it’s very own Christmas tree.

As part of the Hometown Christmas Light Parade celebration, Rhonda Ford from Rio Trees at 8th and M Streets has donated a tree to the community. The Rio Linda/Elverta Visions Neighborhood Association, led by Tabitha Worth and her husband Shawn of A & J Worth Construction, got the tree up and decorated at Troy Park, with the blessing of the Rio Linda Lions Club. Rio Linda Hardware also donated materials to help install the tree stand.

We got a sneak preview today as the lights were tested, but the official lighting will be during the Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Social at Depot Park on Saturday night.
