Rio Linda, CA – Justin Green, a dedicated member of the American Legion, has been named the 2025 Honorary Mayor of Rio Linda/Elverta. Green was recognized for his outstanding efforts in fundraising for his non-profit organization, raising over $4,800 through ticket sales.
Additionally, Kambria Silva from Higher Ground Church was named the 2025 Junior Mayor. The combined efforts of both honorees and other candidates resulted in over $13,000 raised for local community initiatives.
The 2025 Community Champion is Dan “Bug Man” Welch.
The announcement was made at the annual Rio Linda Elverta Chamber of Commerce Installation Gala Awards, this year held at Lifepoint Community Church. As Honorary Mayor, Green will represent the community at various events, including parades, ribbon cuttings, and the annual Country Faire.
