Morning Brief for Friday January 31 2020

Good morning and happy leap year. Tomorrow will be February 29th, leap day!

Here are some bits and pieces from around the area:

  • From the Sacramento Business Journal: Ono Hawaiian BBQ will have a grand opening for its new North Highlands location today. The restaurant is at 5040 Auburn Blvd. https://www.bizjournals.com/sacramento/news/2020/02/27/5-things-to-know-and-why-im-thinking-about.html
  • From the Sacramento Bee: The region’s next big traffic jam is forming now in Natomas, as Amazon delivery vans clog the streets, and the Northlake, Upper Westside and Metro Air Park developments come online. Get the full story from Tony Bizjak at https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/transportation/back-seat-driver/article240443886.html
  • Also from the Sacramento Business Journal, A new development is planned for Natomas as “Tanzanite” at 3575 Airport Road is now proposed with 128 duplexes, 71 accessory dwelling units and seven single-family homes on a 15-acre site. This is south of the Natomas Crossing area, very near the I80 and I5 interchange. Read more at https://www.bizjournals.com/sacramento/news/2020/02/27/katerra-plans-natomas-project.html
