Storage Break-In Suspect Struck by Car

A man suspected of breaking into a storage unit is now in the hospital after a car hit him as he tried to run away.

Early Monday morning, the 41-year-old man allegedly broke into a storage locker at the CubeSmart Storage on Roseville Road near Watt Avenue in the North Highlands area. It’s not clear what he might have taken.

After the break-in, the man left the scene on foot. That’s when a vehicle hit him.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says the man was seriously hurt. He is expected to stay in the hospital for several weeks to recover from his injuries.
