Supervisor Frost Bids Farewell, Rodriguez Takes the Reins

Rio Linda, CA – Sacramento County District 4 Supervisor Sue Frost held her final community meeting last night, marking the end of an eight-year tenure representing Rio Linda and Elverta.

Supervisor Sue Frost

Key Takeaways from the Meeting:

  • Street Vendor Ordinance: Sacramento County is working on a new policy to regulate street food vendors.
  • Watt Avenue SafeStay Project: This project (4837 Watt Avenue, the old Price Club building) aims to provide comprehensive services to the unhoused population, including shelter, mental health support, job training, and more. The county recently approved funding for the construction phase.
  • Community Engagement: Supervisor-elect Rosario Rodriguez emphasized her commitment to community engagement and addressing local concerns, particularly regarding road conditions. She plans to maintain the bi-monthly community meeting schedule established by Supervisor Frost.

As Supervisor Frost prepares to retire to Arkansas, she leaves behind a legacy of public service and dedication to the Rio Linda community. Her successor, Rosario Rodriguez, is poised to continue her work and address the ongoing challenges facing the area.

Sue will be back to take part in her final Rio Linda Elverta Christmas Light Parade on Saturday, December 14th.
