Get ready, Knights fans! Another action-packed week of spring sports is upon us as our Rio Linda teams hit the fields, courts, track, pool, and links. From crucial league matchups to a special Senior Night celebration, there’s plenty of action to follow. Here’s where you can catch your Knights this week:
MONDAY, April 7th:
- Baseball: The week kicks off under the lights right here at home! Our Knights host Sutter in a doubleheader. The JV squad gets things rolling at 3:30 PM, followed by the Varsity team taking the field at 6:00 PM. Let’s pack the stands for the home opener!
- Coed Tennis: The tennis team hits the road to face Woodland High, with matches starting at 3:00 PM.
TUESDAY, April 8th:
- Softball: The Lady Knights travel to Sutter for a tough road test. Both JV and Varsity teams are scheduled for a 4:30 PM first pitch.
- Coed Tennis: Back on the home courts, our tennis players welcome Natomas High for a 4:00 PM match. Come out and support them!
WEDNESDAY, April 9th:
- Boys Volleyball – SENIOR NIGHT! It’s a special night in the gym as we honor our graduating seniors! The Knights host El Camino, with the JV match starting at 5:00 PM, followed by the Varsity Senior Night game and ceremonies at 6:00 PM. Let’s make some noise for our seniors!
- Baseball: The Knights are back on the road, heading to Sutter for another set of games. Both JV and Varsity squads start at 4:15 PM.
- Track and Field: Our athletes head to El Camino High for the GEL Center Meet #2. Field events begin at 1:30 PM, with track events starting at 2:00 PM.
THURSDAY, April 10th:
- Swim: Make some waves at the Rio Linda pool! Our Boys and Girls Swim teams host Woodland High for a home meet starting at 4:00 PM.
- Softball: The softball teams travel again, this time heading to Casa Roble for JV and Varsity matchups beginning at 4:30 PM.
- Boys Golf: The Knights hit the links at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, teeing off against Sutter at 3:00 PM.
- Coed Tennis: The tennis team has another road match, traveling to Dixon High for a 4:00 PM start.
FRIDAY, April 11th:
- Baseball: Finish the school week strong by supporting Knights Baseball! They’re back home hosting Sutter once more. JV plays at 3:30 PM, and the Varsity squad closes out the series under the lights at 6:00 PM.
- Softball: The JV Softball team wraps up the week with a home game against Del Campo, starting at 5:00 PM.
