Twin Rivers Unified School District Issues Updated Coronavirus Statement

Twin Rivers Union School District

TRUSD issued a statement on Twitter late Thursday afternoon:

Although we have no confirmed COVID-19 cases as of today, we understand the anxiety this is causing and want to assure you that Twin Rivers is following all directives and protocols from the California Department of Public Health and Sacramento County Public Health.

Given these current directives and protocols, our schools are open and we have no planned closures at this time. Should this change, you will be notified. This is an extremely challenging public health crisis.

As we get new information we will communicate directly to you through auto-calls, district and school websites and social media. Please visit http://twinriversusd.org/coronavirus for regular updates.

Updates to this policy will be published as soon as they are available to Rio Linda Online.

  • Maybe its better to be pre emptive for the community and close your schools for a time. Coronavirus is in our region, so denying it an environment at which it could spread at this moment in time, seems like the appropriate thing to do. Also good time to have all staff tested and clean the schools.
