Son Shoots Father Dead on Quadra Ave in Rio Linda

A Rio Linda man was shot dead in his home Tuesday morning in Rio Linda. Now, Sheriff’s Deputies say the person who shot him is his son.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call about a man being shot at 10:10 a.m. on the 300 block of Quadra Avenue in Rio Linda, and were met by a man with a firearm, according to sergeant Shaun Hampton. Both the male with the firearm and another male were detained.

Upon entering the residence, Deputies found a man in his 70s who suffered at least one gunshot wound. Metro Fire paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Deputies have arrested one man, Wesley Heaton Scobee, who is the victim’s son. The identity of the second man was not released.

Mr. Scobee has been booked indo the Sacramento County Jail on 187 pc, a felony murder charge, with no bail. He is due to appear in court for arraignment on Thursday, 8/2/2018 at 1:30 PM.

This is the second shooting homicide within 72 hours in Rio Linda.
