The fact that Jacob Murphy is in the hospital this week is not stopping him from celebrating his team getting into Super Bowl XLVII.
Jacob — a 7-year-old from Rio Linda — has decked out his Packard’s Children’s room with 49ers gear in preparation for Sunday’s big game.
“Jacob is absolutely ecstatic,” said Rebecca Johnson, Jacob’s mother.
The second-grader is an inpatient at the Children’s Heart Center, suffering from congenital heart problems.
Hospital staffers couldn’t be happier to help keep up his spirits by showing his team spirit.
He is throwing a hospital room party on Sunday.
