Sheriff’s Northwest service center moves to McClellan Air Park

From Kim Minugh and Sacbee.com:

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has relocated its Northwest Area Service Center from Watt Avenue to McClellan Air Park, authorities announced today.

The new service center is at 2345 Dean St., Modular A, inside the park and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The center – designed to serve the communities of Rio Linda, Elverta, Antelope, North Highlands and Foothill Farms – will be staffed by an office manager, a crime prevention specialist and volunteers.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, residents can visit the center to: file reports of non-violent crimes (those that are not in progress); obtain fingerprints for job or volunteer applications; and learn about public safety and crime prevention. Residents also can speak with the crime prevention specialist about organizing neighborhood or business watch programs.

For more information, call the service center’s office manager, Kristen Smith, at the service center’s new phone line, (916) 646-1006, or visit www.sacsheriff.com.
