  • Brittany has been found safe. Thank you for posting this.

Twin Rivers police officers have located Brittany Adame safe and sound after following up on leads from the community. It was the persistence of the officers just knocking on doors of her friends and acquaintances until she was found. She had no injuries; there were no indications of foul play or anything suspicious. She will be released to her parents. Thanks to the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department and Sac PD for their assistance in looking for Brittany.

  • Thank goodness! Good work to all involved for bringing Brittany home safely.

Many people look upon me and my wife’s parenting as overbearing or controlling. With a cognitively disabled child, I feel you can’t be too careful. They just don’t have the capacity for reason or common sense that other, normal children have. They’ll chase after a butterfly, or forget they’re supposed to be at school, or go for a walk with a stranger without giving it a second thought.

This could have ended badly. Lets always remember to thank the authorities for helping reach a positive resolution.
