An Elverta man who crashed into a sports utility vehicle and killed a woman in north Sacramento County last year has been sentenced to seven years in state prison.
Travis Weldon Moore, 20, received the term Wednesday in Sacramento Superior Court from Judge Gary E. Ransom. Moore had pleaded no contest earlier this year to gross vehicular manslaughter.
Christine Ingle, 45, died at the scene of the Feb. 16, 2010, crash at 16th and C streets in the Rio Linda neighborhood.
Four girls who were in Moore’s car also were injured in the crash.
One was left partially paralyzed by the wreck. Another was put in a coma for a month and later underwent five brain surgeries, according to her father.
I live four door down from where this happened, the whole story needs to be known, drunk driving was the cause of this, the ones people driving with him were drunk. He was the only one that was not hurt. I seen how ugly this accident was it was a totally nightmare.
This street on 16th is a nightmare. It is dark and drivers are driving as fast as 50 – 100 miles. Something needs to be done with this street. Accidents after Accidents on this street. It is like a freeway. Trying to get out of your driveway is unsafe. How many more deaths going to happen on this Rio Linda 16th freeway. ???? before something is done with the speed limit.. Kids live on this street. There are not side walks.. this is a street where homes are at.. why is the speed limit on this street so high.. what happened to the 25 miles in a neighborhood.
You must not know NO ONE was drunk thank you very much he was showing off, im one of the four!!!!
