FATAL INJURY ON WATT AVE SOUTH OF ELKHORN BLVD
On March 25, 2018, at approximately 1650, the California Highway Patrol received reports from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department of a traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a blue SUV on Watt Ave., just south of Elkhorn Blvd.
Sheriff’s Deputies had encountered the collision in the southbound traffic lanes while on patrol and immediately requested the Sacramento Metro Fire District and CHP.
The motorcyclist was traveling southbound when the rider encountered the blue SUV making a left turn into a parking lot directly in front of it. The SUV and the motorcycle collided resulting in fatal injuries to the motorcyclist.
Drugs and alcohol are suspected to be a factor in this collision.
