Get ready for a day of green thumbs and future agricultural leaders this Saturday, April 26th, at the Rio Linda High School farm! The farm will be bustling with two exciting events: a plant sale and a Mock Fair, both aimed at supporting the school’s thriving Ag Program.
From 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the school farm will be holding a plant sale. Visitors will find a wide variety of vegetable starters and succulents available, perfect for getting your spring garden going or adding some greenery to your home. Each plant is priced at just $4, and payment can be made with either cash or online. Later in the morning, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the school farm will host its Mock Fair. This event is a crucial opportunity for the high school’s livestock students to hone their showmanship skills and prepare for the upcoming Sacramento County Fair. A livestock judging team will be on hand to provide valuable feedback on each show.
The Mock Fair also serves as a fantastic chance for community members interested in supporting the students’ hard work. You can meet the students and see their market livestock projects firsthand.
