Election Night Delight

Ding dong, ding dong.

Rio Linda Election 1It’s 9:14pm here in Rio Linda. Many of us working folks have hit the hay, because 4:30 and 5am comes very early.

There is a handful of people, however, firmly encamped at Tummy’s sub shop watching the changing of the guard.

The latest returns have Frank Caron and Martin Smith leading incumbent Mary Harris by over 5 percentage points.

So congratulations Rio Linda and Elverta. You did good. You did right. No matter what happens with LAFCo and the CDPH in the next few months, at least FINALLY we can be happy in the knowledge that we’ve done away with the source of irritation… we scratched that Mary Harris itch.
